Summary: I am currently a Co-Founder and developer for Goalfrog, a funding and accountability platform that enables students to raise money for tuition and projects based on achieving academic goals or completing milestones. I am fluent in Ruby (on Rails), PHP, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, Objective-C (IOS Development). Additionally, I have some experience with Java (Android development) and JSP. My background is in Physics. I have a Ph.D. in physics (string theory) and an undergraduate degree (summa cum laude) in both physics and mathematics. I have written multiple top-cited papers in string theory and spent two years as International Postdoctoral Fellow for the National Science Foundation doing research at the University of Amsterdam. String Theory is a challenging and exciting field which I am grateful to have been a part of. However, as time passed, I realized I wanted a career outside of academia. I eventually left physics and moved to South America to work in microfinance. While there I began programming in my free time. The programming was initially a hobby, but I found that I enjoyed it, and eventually moved into a fulltime career as a web developer and mobile developer. I spent the last two years working as a Senior Web Developer for Thought-Matrix. After dedicating many of my nights and weekends to launching Goalfrog (www.goalfrog.com), in the spring of 2013 I left Thought-Matrix and began working fulltime at Goalfrog.
